El verdadero nombre de Master Bowie es David Robert Jones, nació el 08/01/47 a las 22:59 en Brixton, Londres.
Mide 1,79 cms.
Desde 1992 está casado con Iman Abdul Majid (Iman, a secas, bah) y desde 1970 hasta 1980 estuvo casado con Mary Angela Barnett.
Tiene dos hijos: Duncan Zowie Heywood Jones, nacido en 1971 (fruto de su primer matrimonio) y Alexandria Zahra Jones, nacida en el 2000 (con Iman).
